SILK AIR PACKAGE
Based on a team of 10 players twin
sharing, the total cost per person ranges from SGD600 to stay in Phuket
Town (Pearl Hotel) to SGD750 to stay in Club Andaman Beach Resort. Silk
Air flies to Phuket three times a day to Phuket.
THAI AIRWAYS PACKAGE
If you can travel with Thai Airways (they
only fly to Phuket once a day at 0920 in the morning) and are prepared
to take the return flight at 1835 then the cost per person (based
upon a team of 10 players twin sharing) ranges from SGD485 to
stay in Phuket Town (Pearl Hotel) to SGD632 to stay in Club Andaman
Beach Resort.
We will arrange everything for you including optional
tours AND Tour Polo's if you wish !
About the Tournament:-

This tournament is a annual
tournament that provides a socially competitive environment for
players who approach the game with the right attitude and in the
right spirit.
Sixteen teams will contest each
actioned packed and exciting event. With no prize money at
stake, foreign and local teams take part for one reason only,
their love of soccer.
With
seven minute halves, the action at the Phuket International
Soccer Seven’s promises to be fast and furious. Spectators can
expect to see goals galore thanks to the rolling substitution
format from a pool of ten players that will ensure fresh legs
and fresh lungs.
The
tournaments will be structured to ensure that all teams have the
opportunity to win something through Cup, Plate and Bowl
sections. All teams will play a minimum of five games. |

Phuket is the ideal venue for a
memorable sporting holiday. The food is great, nightlife
legendary. This event should be a priority on your team’s
annual sporting holiday calendar.

Tournament Weekend
Agenda:
 FLIGHTS
FROM SINGAPORE
Phuket is a great
location for a Soccer Tournament for obvious reasons, even traveling to Phuket from Singapore
is a doddle. For your soccer weekend you have a choice of departure
times on Friday. Silk Air 1835hrs is the most popular choice, however
for those "early birds who wish to catch the worm" there is a 1320
flight or even an 0855 if you just can't wait to arrive. (CAPTAIN MUST
ARRIVE EARLY FOR THE PRE TOURNAMENT BRIEFING THOUGH - see below)
Unless you have any
special requests we will book your return flight at 2010 which gets you
back to Singapore by 2255 on the Monday... a little late we know but hey
we don't own the airline. An alternative flight back from Phuket for
those family men soccer players will be the 1455 flight touching down at
Changi at 1740.
Thai Airways fly to Phuket
from Singapore once a day, departing at 0920 in the morning, the return
flight departs Phuket at 1835. The Thai airways flight (due to its lower
cost) tends to get booked very quickly especially Friday departure... if
you are keen on the lower fare, call me early to book your seats for you
and your players.
FRIDAY
Welcome at the Phuket
airport then transfer by air-conditioned to the official hotels. At the
arrival, welcome drink and check-in the room for 3-5 nights or more… The
tournament organiser will be at your disposal in order to give all
information to the guest as exchange money, post-office, restaurants,
shopping, and tours…
19:00 Captains Briefing (Captains only)
The
briefing will be arranged at Crissey Village, and will include some
drinks and snacks.
Clarification of rules and final tournament information will be given at
this briefing.
19:00 Welcome Aperitif (Teams & Officials)
A
welcome aperitif with snacks will be offer at the Saint Malo Snooker &
Bar, which is the official meeting point for organizers & teams during
the whole tournament.
20:30 Welcome Dinner at the Baya Beach Restaurant & Bar
Welcome drink at the arrival, following by a speech from the organizer
presenting the tournament, referees, teams and all sponsors. Buffet
dinner including some drinks and a special decoration, welcome banner,
free T-shirts offered by the manager and much more…
Overnight at the hotel (tomorrow the show will go on!)
SATURDAY
American breakfast at the hotel.
09:00-17:00 “2nd Phuket International Soccer 7s” (1ST
Day Tournament)
The
tournament organisers
have planned for 16 teams and the tournament will be played over
two days at Phuket Stadium with games kicking off at 09:00 each day. There will be 2
levels of competition (Cup and Bowl) and both the winners and runners-up
at each level will receive trophies to mark their achievement. The first
day will consist of round-robin pool games in groups of 4 teams. Each
team's final position in their group will decide whether they enter the
cup or bowl on the second day.
Transportation:
Daily
shuttle air-conditioned bus will be provided for transportation from/to
the official Hotels (as mentioned above, if you decide to place your
team in your favorite Phuket hotel (which is not an official tournament
hotel) then you must make your own arrangements for match day transfers.
Lunch & drinks:
Sales
of food and drinks will be provided at the playing venue during the
entire tournament.
20:30 Evening Party at Scruffy Murphy’s
This
evening party is arranged by the Irish Pub, Scruffy Murphy’s, located on
the Soi Bangla, one of the most famous streets in Patong for the
nightlife. Some free drinks and snacks, with live Irish music.

SUNDAY
American breakfast at the hotel.
09:00-17:00 “2nd Phuket International Soccer 7s” (2ND
Day Tournament)
This
second day of the tournament
will be a double elimination knockout format. Pool and early knockout
games will be 7 minutes each way and the final will be 10 minutes each
way.
20:30 Awards Tournament Dinner at the Taipan Nightclub
Welcome drink at the arrival, then presentation of trophies and
medallions by organizers and main sponsors, then buffet dinner including
some drinks, entertainment, live band and much more...
Overnight at the hotel.
MONDAY
Free day to choose
from a variety of Phuket activities. Many of the activities available
can be found in our
Phuket Stag Weekend Page and
include Quad Bikes, Shooting, Bungee Jumping, Go Karting, Big Bikes,
Canoeing, Big Game Fishing. Let us know what activities you are
keen on and we will build this into your price.

Keen To Play In Phuket
But Not Enough Players ?
We recognize that you
may be keen to play in this tournament, but perhaps only one or two
other team members are interested and therefore you can not form a team
of 10 players.
Do not worry, send me
your name, e-mail, telephone number and position, once we have 10
players we will inform you and will create a "The Traveldestinée
Nomads" team. We have a couple of keen soccer individuals already
registered.

Phuket:-
Phuket, Thailand, is commonly referred to as the ‘Pearl of South’ and is the
largest island in Thailand. Phuket Island runs 48 kilometers (34 miles)
north to south and 21 kilometers (16 miles) east to west. Phuket's best (and
most popular) beaches reside along the mid section of its "wild west" at
whose epicenter lie the bright neon lights, shops, bars, hawkers and massage
ladies of Patong Beach. Fifteen years ago just a quiet backwater with
casuarinas trees, the odd shop and no beach road, Patong has burst into
prominence this is where beetroot-faced travelers, some bronzed black by
the sun (or a microwave), assemble to strut their funky stuff and
